This LPA's circulation dumping good moist Easterly winds over entire TN coast & interiors, producing good cloud bands.

A system in Gulf of Mannar almost always result in widespread rains over TN, as it will streamline easterlies in sumptuous manner towards coasts.

Low pressure areas are generally slow moving, moisture rich, which also aids in widespread clouding over its surroundings.

Rains will occur in multiple spells(at any time of the day over coasts), and it can be heavy at times. The official met agency (IMD) also warns of heavy to very heavy rains to occur in 4 or 5 places over TN between 2nd and 4th November.

Rains to continue in coastal TN including Chennai (with breaks). More cloud bands lineup towards Chennai in Bay of Bengal.

Rains from this LPA will come to end by coming Thursday (4th Nov), as it is expected to move slowly into Arabian Sea.

After this LPA, there will be 3-4 days of break (with less rain), then a new LPA is expected to form in Bay by 11th Nov and this will again start to giving rains to Tamilnadu.

The LPA is expected to hit near Chennai and move towards West Bengal in Coastal Line and join the westerly winds after Nov 15.

After Nov 13, again there will be an extended break for TN for 4-5 days or even a week as the LPA will pull out all the moisture and move towards West Bengal.

Cooler nights will be normal going forward in Northern Plains and Deccan Plateau even as the day time temperatures take a dip to seasonal standards.

Dry weather is forecast over entire country except over TN, Kerala, South Interior Karnataka, Rayalseema and Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
