Chennai & KTC Special Post And Weather Synopsis For Tamilnadu :

+ With monsoon heading for a short break, westerlies expected to weaken from tomorrow and thunderstorms expected to increase likely in many parts of North and Central Tamilnadu.
+ South will also see isolated heavy thunderstorms next 1 week.
+ GFS Model have been consistent about a formation of a system moving near NTN-SAP coasts past few days and ECM has also started to pick an UAC near TN coasts.
+ With formation of UAC highly possible, very intense thunderstorms likely to bloom in various parts of Tamillnadu, especially North Coastal and North Interiors due to favourable convergence.
+ KTC region could also see heavy thunderstorms / widespread thunderstorms starting from tonight.
+ Coastal places could be benefitted, including Chennai city which may see a great August after a spectacular July.

NOTE : These rains are heat-based and convergence rains, so do not expect rains in day time. Rains maximum will be from evening till early morning. Also, storms which form will be long durational due to atmospheric support from UAC/system near TN coasts.
+ Day temperature which was touching 37-38°C in Chennai and other Coastal places of TN will be witnessing lower from now (34-35°C till this weekend and far lesser going forward).
+ Interior places of TN also will witness less day temperature. Warm day and chill nights are on the way.
